    Thomas offers tips for completing the fourth sudoku in this series. The tips are also applicable to solving a sudoku generally.

    I agree with 'Interdicted'. No way he can just put in the second 5. Plus NO EXPLANATION! I've looked at loads of these vids now and they offer no help.............or they are just too simple. PLUS. Anyone who does Sudoku's by writing 'possible' numbers in boxes b4 the actual number is in my opinion cheating! Do it in your head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This explanation video actually had about a minute of content "cut" before it was posted between the section on the "artistry" of the design and the first number being given. It was after a section where I went through identifying the other 5's that the 5 in r4c7 was found. You can't get this before other numbers.

    The way he figured that one out was: He started looking at the lines as you can see from the other numbers, then a 1,2,3,4,6 and 7 could NOT have been used.. So there is 5,8 and 9 left! He could see from the diagonal line that the numbers 6 and 8 was copied all the way down and then there is a very very big chance that there is not going to be a 8 (cause it was used in the diagonal line so much) and then im not quite sure how he figured out it had to be 5 and not 9.. but i got some theories ^^

    no, i mean, he placed the first 5 in the middle box, but then the second 5 on the right of the middle box (which has only one number, thats the 1) theres no way he could figure that out

    theres no way he could figure the first 5, unless he has the ability of mapping the 9x9 in his brain with tons of posibilities.
