I know this is a very basic, probably dumb question but what are the advantages of a system like this over doing digital zooms and pans in post?

I held off on viewing this one cuz it just seemed like it wasn't anything special. Boy was I wrong. Glad I did watch it or I would have missed out. Great as always.

yes, in kit and assembled form. I'm making some revisions based on my experience with this one. The touchscreen user interface should be coming together soon (if you don't want a laptop in the field =). stay tuned.
