@kiwibelt Carrie Fisher says that Reynolds calls her every morning and says, "Good morning, dear. This is your mother...Debbie."

It's called "Debbie, My Life" ghost-written by David Patrick Columbia. I apologize for something I wrote earlier, DR was, in fact, nominated for an Oscar, I was wrong. Also recommended: Eddie Fisher's auto-bio, and Elizabeth Taylor's "Elizabeth Takes Off." I keep all 3 together. Now, I'll catch some flack for saying 2 things, but... 1) She is funny, yes, but not exactly as funny as she thinks, and this annoyed Eddie, 2) She is likely a lesbian, if you read between the lines of her book.

hahaha. this woman is funny and I love how she says "Carrie." she's got some specific pronunciation for the name. i remember watching carrie on letterman and her telling everyone that she practically lives next door to debbie (given there is a hill in between them) and still debbie calls her and says, "Helllooo, dear, this is your mother...Debbie." hahaha.

I saw Carrie do her one woman show on Broadway on November 20th. I also took some photos of her at the stage door. She is very pretty in person.

It sounds like Debbie did some "Wishful Drinking" before this interview... I love her. Still... she sounds kinda drunk or something. She's so cute. She was hilarious on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. LOL. "It's on my tit."

I'm a big Debbie fan, but what makes you think she won an Academy Award, or was even nominated for one? She was and is a terrific all-around entertainer, but she will be the first to tell you she was not a great actress. I suggest everybody read her as-told-to autobio, which is very funny, sometimes unintentionally. Her remarks about Liz Taylor and Eddie Fisher are a howl. Check her out here on youtube in her appearance on Dick Cavett, she is stunning, beautiful.
