@justinbushaw: Ummm..actualy the security guards where indeed 'church members'-& also ,in some cases,family members of the people they were lining up to drink the kool aide.

That is exactly the REASON only a few of them could get away, it was WAY more than just gaurds and nurses. And yes over 900 died, so that's a LOT of administrators.

I don't feel 1 ounce of sympathy for anyone from Jonestown. They where idiots from the Liberal SFO area where better off without them. They said the where leaving the US cuz its a police state funny they left gave all there money to 1 guy that told them what to do live behind a walled compound with armed guards (Red Brigade) forced to listen to his views 24/7 oh and he could sleep with any mans wife he chose. Yeah remind me again that sure sound like a much better place to live in then the USA!
