Any information on flare, pincushioning, distortion, etc with this lens? How's the image quality, sharpness, light?
How's the lens overall?
(by the way, attaching on a bed as opposed to a hard surface kicks up a lot of dust!)
For entry level DSLR you won't get a better bang for buck than a Sony, there also compatible with older Minolta Lenses. I believe the newer models are also more user friendly than the a300.
hi i think you will have fun with the A300 or the A350. i have the A350 and loving in it. but from my point of view i WOULD prefer the 50D.
At the moment i got the standard sony 18-70, a minolta 70-200mm ( which i find is very good ) and a minolta 50mm F1.7
It looks like i will be getting the SONY 18-200mm now, as its something in the range which i like to use.
Thanks for the Demo by the way
Depends on your location for the price. I purchased this in the uk for considerably less than the retail cost during the xmas sales. If your friends budget is low the 55-200mm is probably more affordable. But if they just want closer images and not concerned for having a large range in one lens then they should look at sigma/tamron/sony 70-300mm.
