$500 is not cheap considering you have to buy accessories (usb, sd card, camera) which should be included in the first place . APPLE monopolized ways of making money.

Best browsing experience my arse! There will be holes all over the net where you can't play flash video. How can this be overcome?

You upload video from your desktop or laptop computer or download it direct to the device via Wifi. SD cards can be loaded on using the connection kit that fits in the docking port. Although a dedicated USB port and SD slot would be better when the device is docked.
