    html5 wont be made standard until atleast 2022, but i agree, it will eventually over rule, as html is free. flash isnt.

    you could use the same function on all different MovieClip; instead of "this.setChildIndex(tab_mc, topPosition);" you can use "this.setChildIndex(MovieClip(evt.target), topPosition);" You still need 3 different listeners, of course.
