I remember the first time I heard SRV, a friend let me borrow Texas Flood on tape, my brother and I listened to it all the way through, rewound it and listened again.

I read a lot of Comments on SRV, One Of The Greatest Guitarist of All Time. There are 3 Different distinct styles of Blues: Mississippi Delta=Robert Johnson. Chicago Blues=Muddy Waters, Texas Blues= Stevie Ray Vaughan. Being Guitarist that I am, I Dig all The Styles Of Blues. R.I.P. SRV, Your Style Still Lives On.

Indeed, the roots is where the love begins =) To think how many people my age (19) will love metal music, but have never heard this. In fact, how many of them may even hate it; purely because it isn't something they're familiar with... Ahh well, their problem, not ours.

I'm a heavy metal guitarist. I play stuff like Metallica, Pantera, Nevermore and Iron Maiden all day long. I idolize guitarists like Dimebag Darrell and Jeff Loomis. I've never listened to blues before. And I am loving this. I can't decide what I love more, the guitar playing or the singing. =')
