On the 1 February 2003, and only minutes from the end of its 16-day mission, Space Shuttle Columbia exploded over Texas, USA instantly killing the seven astronauts on board and leaving a mass of controversy in its wake.     These science experiments could have been done a lot cheaper, it was no triumph - it was politics. Building the space station was fine. These scientists can spend money on bad ideas more than a cumpulsive shopper and think it's just fine. I agree it's better than war expenses, but that's it. Where are the cures for Cancer it's been 50 years and still nothing. My friend died at 44 and there were no advances other than paid meds.
