Maxster in Mexico asks: "Site hacks have been on the rise, especially on CMS platforms like Joomla and WordPress. If our site was hacked and damage was done by the hackers (doorway pages inserted and spammed) but removed within days do we have to worry about a penalty?"

I have seen a few sites that were hacked to serve PRN, and got seriously slapped. down. Many have bounced back real quick 9as we caught them early enough), but others where the site owners didn't click what the problem was for loss of traffic (and sales) took months. Same procedures for all sites, remove, clean, check, double check, triple check, then submit a re-inclusion request, identical process for all sites. But one particular site just took ages to come back good.

If I submit a request to re-submit my site after a hack attack...how long does it usually take Google to respond? Or do they put my site in a queue to be re-crawled next scheduled date?
