This is a great lens if noise and speed are not a concern to the telephoto lens user

Why are you apologizing for the quality of a lens you did not make? Finish school, go to college and forget about the cheap lens. Note: I used this lens to shoot photos of Oprah Winfrey and they were published in The National Enquirer and Women's Day Magazines.

Alright Dr.Criticision calm yourself down. This I DID NOT BUY. This came with a camera I purchased. So next time you decide to flip why don't you think of other possibilities. And your basically saying people can't complain about a lens they bought? That's like saying you can't complain about cloth seats in your car and how you wish you bought leather. Criticizers like you shouldn't even waste your time. I just sent a message about how I hate criticizers and your one of them.

i have this lense. it is soft and not very good. i would go for like nikon 70-200 f/2.8 vr II

Damn! That was loud. Sounded like a drill. And the AF wasn't THAT slow. I mean, it's not worth spending over a thousands dollars on another lens that does the same exact thing, faster. But I'm sticking with the Nikon lens. Quantaray is good, but of course Nikon is better.
