It's a bit confusing for me. Let me explain: when you look at 4:01, you can see that the softbox is providing higher light.

Softbox lighting is superior, IMO, due to the subtleties of shadow, giving a more natural light.

This isn't that simple u have more dependencies , soft box is flat surface and give u more even light, umbrella is focuses light in the middle . Also depends on the distance and size of the lights
