Silly little thing - I don't know if you have problems with your straps coming lose. If you do, it's because they are not attached to the cameras as they are designed to be attached. The end part should not go under and through the middle plastic bar, but over and back under the middle plastic bar. That end part should then come out between the two parts of the strap that loops around the camera attachment and can then be locked off with the other plastic part by shifting it back.

is there anyway we could mod or get an adapter for the D300 eyepiece view finder to look exactly like the D700 !

Yep^^ no dedicated liveview button on the D700, whereas the D300s has one

Thanks, ive had my D90 for over a year and had never bothered to find out how to check how many shots i had left on the memory card, i really need to read the manual!!

If you are shooting a wedding in a dark church then you need a D700 (or a D3) Simple.
