Neil wrote this song but its a mystery who Caroline is, only after when hes 50 revealed whos the Caroline girl, it was John F Kennedy's daughter. Elvis just revived w/o any idea whos Caroline in his song. No one can touch this song only Neil.

My first boyfriend loved Neil Diamond. I remember lying on the rug in his house and listening to this music and all of Neil's records that he had. Touching moments for both of us. If I would had known that he was so good looking, I would have tried to see him at a concert. My boyfriend and I broke up. He was extremely jealous. Don't think we would have even gone to see a concert. I love the songs that the Monkees sang even though at first they were destined for him.
