Speculation on what the d700x/d800 will be like when it is announced. Like the d700 the d700x /d800 will have many of the same features as the d3x. THESE SPECS ARE NOT 100% CERTIAN but I believe them to be logical.

Do these guys even follow Nikon at all. It's already out and as he said it is much of the camera he predicted it would be with a few exception. BTW it shots over 10 per sec. Great camera D700 Nice work Dude!

I would agree with you QQQQcon. Nikon is there to cover the whole spectrum of its camera lineups. The so called updated version of the D700 will probably be like the new D7000 but in a FX format and magnesium body. It will have between 14 megapixels to 16 megapixels with 1080i HD mode. Most camera stores aren't even carrying the D700 and very little of the D300s because the new D700 will be coming out the first quarter of the new year. Price to be said around $3,200-$3,500 U.S.

Well thats what canon did. I see where you are coming from, frankly I also believe that the camera will not have the same sensor but an 18 mega pixel sensor.

The D700 is not good for action at all. Unless you're using an MB-D10 with it and running it at 8 fps. The D3 would definately be a better choice if you're shooting action. (Comparing just the D700 body to the D3) However, that being said, the D700 is amazing in low light. And the noise handling on it is superb. All depends on what you plan on using the camera for. And thanks for the videos QQQQcon, they're very well put together. Keep it up.

it will come out eventually, possibly feb. and they say it is going to be called the nikon d900 now. I no longer think it will have the same sensor as the d3x but and 18 mega pixel sensor.

the 7d is going to kill the d300s so nikon needs to step it up big time beacuse sony just came out with the a850 with 24mp FF at 2000

the next NIkon. Nikon d800/d700x. Nikon > Canon always. More refined and solid, if a little behind features-wise. What annoys me about canon is "MOre megapixels = betterer!" which is wrong. Lens and Sensor always makes te best pictures. GO nikon matey you wont regret it
