Given that our galaxy is 10 billion years old and it should take civilizations much less time to develop and travel through the galaxy, why isn't the universe teeming with aliens? Where is everybody?

Nature is a term used by the scientific community (aka Science) to represent all laws that govern this universe which was also made so we can live a more simple world without questioning the Why. It's like accepting something for what it is but not theorizing it's purpose. Keep in mind that the only type of evidence is empirical and that is also relative for each of us. Kind regards.

evidence suggests that we are being visited by alien life, look at all the ridiculous amounts of video evidence, eye witness reports by pilots, generals, presidents, governors etc the impossible structures like Puma Pumku and the great pyramid, the obvious repeated cover ups by the governments of the world including the embarrassment that was the "Roswell incident" the "White sands New Mexico UFO crash" and the "Arizona lights" that we were told were just flares that even the governor denied..

The universe is like the internet. Its teeming with activity, but no one specifically is privy to witness all that, and everybody maintains their anonymity, they don't want to expose themselves or their location. That's sort of my answer to the Fermi Paradox. Well one of them anyway.

i believe that there is a higher power, and his name is God. That may be your opinion, but will the opinion of 1 youtube viewer influence the world's opinion? No. What I wish is that people would stop making wars and having arguments over "My god is real, yours isn't".

If they have a certain level of social and organizational development. If they're just like ordinary animals here on Earth, then no.

if there are just animals and creatures, does that count as a civilization?

It seems that the anger in all of these comments is based on fear that you may be wrong about whether God exists or not. That shows very little faith in whatever you believe, trying to convince everybody that you are right. Have some faith people.

If there is life out there in the universe.. then it is more then likely there are (thousands) different type aliens all in different galaxies.. But does not mean they are living close to us. However some are living not far from other living aliens on another planet. Just that we are one of the many that we dont see life near by. And also we are also creature aliens too.. Just because we see each others like normal humans does not mean we are the normal humans vs aliens.
