Cheryl came back in to us at the hospital in September 2007 suffering a tick infestation. Here she is having her ticks removed. She has since been returned to the wild.
Yes, we treat some of the koalas with the exact same back-of-the-neck treatment that is used on dogs. Usually only when their tick burden is very high though. Obviously they just have to deal with it in the wild (which they normally do).
