Don't use Windex, Windex is only for Regular Plain Glass NOT for Primary Coated Mirrors. For my Mirrors Multi-Coated , I only use top "Photographic Lens-Mirror Sprays specifically formulated for Multi-Coated Lenses and Mirrors, I Purchase it from my Photographic Camera Store Specifically made by Opticians for Multi-Coated Lenses and Mirrors , I then wipe with only Photographic Lens-Mirror Tissues also purchased at Photographic Camera Retailers"! Your Windex method has just reduced Reflectivity!!

The VLT uses 4 identical mirrors of that size in a process called interferometry. The telescopes can be combined to view a single object or used separately by different teams of astronomers.
