Yes I was agreeing with you, you where spot on with your analogy, the new flavour of IE is actually gaining some popularity within a poll I recently saw (I think it was slash gear), but the way the DOM is rendered in the various browsers still needs some fixing lol, JQuery helps with this a bit but most people don't want to be locked into 3rd party libraries, all in all I like HTML5 & its new features most of all I like its Doctype lol

I have been using HTML5 ever since the spec was made public and browsers supported it, I didn't need Steve Jobs to tell me that Flash had security issues not to mention having to learn a new syntax just to use it (if you weren't already familiar with actionscript), but I agree he did speed up the process because he saw that flash was a dying formate, he supported the use of HTML5 when everyone of head over heels with Flash.
