The pagerank of the page that has your link is what matters, this is not a PR8 link. As others have said, it is not correct to say this gives you a PR8 link. Mefax is correct in stating that anyone who dredges up old threads with a high PR on Joomla will quickly be thrown off - I know from painful experience. best way is to only make sensible answers to threads and then hope that thread gets a high PR in the future.
