    This is a TV news report at the close of a trip across Route 66 from the summer 2001 in Santa Monica, CA in my 1955 Buick police car which is based on my favorite show "Highway Patrol" (www.highwaypatroltv.com) staring Broderick Crawford. His son Kelly was my co pilot on this journey.

    When I was a kid, when I heard the intro music, I was scared s***less, and thought Broderick was the meanest and baddest policeman ever walked the earth. Man that beginning theme song, haunts my very soul. Brings back good ole memories and is a gauge of what fear and respect for the law back then as opposed to now in our society, was all about.
