Gilles Duceppe, leader of the Bloc Québécois, joins George Stroumboulopoulos in the red chair to discuss his English Canada tour and his hopes for Quebec sovereignty.
I am American. My family immigrated from Quebec around 140 yrs ago. But, we still have relatives there and they want a separate nation. I don't have a dog in the fight, but I've been told by my nephews about instances where they have been verbally abused, even spat upon, in other areas of Canada. This is sad, if true. Basically, what I get from my family is that they don't "feel" Canadian, rather Quebecois. For this reason they want a separate nation.
