"You gotta spend money to make money." Serbian-Canadian Zoran is investing in the high-end car wash that he acquired 6 years ago. The whole team gets ready for the re-opening bash. It was the early years of the new millennium and Calgary was booming, but labour was in short supply. Zoran had to look abroad to find staff for his carwash, hiring Edgar and four other Filipinos through Canadas Temporary Foreign Worker Program. The stories of two immigrants an entrepreneur and a guest worker intertwine. Acting on the suggestion of UN peacekeepers, Zoran left Serbia 7 years ago to build a new life in Canada. He found work at a Calgary auto-body shop ― before going on to buy Detailz, the upscale carwash. The 37-year-old former footballer is married and has two young kids.
