Nice presentation but the number of combatants are wrong (i don't know where/how did you come up with those figures).
Pompeys army 48 000 soldiers Caesars army 22 500 soldiers. These figures are generally agreed upon by every respectable historian.
Caesar DIDN'T order his army to stop halfway through. His VETERANS realized that their charge wasn't met half way (as it was customary) and stopped for a short breather.
