    the original cut doesn't exist on film anymore, they separated the elements in order to remaster them for the dvd releases, + those are the masters now. it's take a LOT of time + money to completely rebuild the original print, then remaster it AGAIN.

    I have the truly original theatrical versions on dvd. They were released for a very short time and I jumped all over it. They will be kept save.....frozen in carbonite....forever.

    It's silly to complain about this or that not being on the BluRay...It's on YouTube and available anytime. What should be on the BluRay is the entire Workprint of the 1st cut, with different pacing, alternate angles, and new scenes. Interestingly the editor was fired after Lucas saw his baby being mistreated because the editor refused to do as the Director commanded.
