This is an ESA presentation explaining the known science of Dark Matter up to this point in history. A very interesting video.

Think of light as tiny particles. Just like a sattelite orbiting around earth, light is affected by gravety. When it passes a planet, its "orbit" is just slightly altered, as it travels at such a high speed. However, a black hole has a much larger gravitiational pull than a planet, and can cause light to enter orbit, just like a satelite would around earth. A star also has the gravity to change the path of light being emited by a star behind it. The star farthest star would look like a halo.

does the sight of the hubble, or light just get bent by nothing? Or does there have to be something in they way for it to happen. And that's where they got dark matter from?
