If the Windows PC is stronger than the Mac, hardware-wised, then no, the Mac will not run faster.
If you're using a cheap-ass Windows PC, then yes, the Mac will in fact, run faster.
It depends if you're using a powerful, or a weak desktop. Usually, custom built for high end computers will still outperform the Mac in day-to-day tasks. A Mac, however, will outperform a low-end machine, like a Netbook. It just depends on the type of machine you're comparing.
Your retarded, the selection of video games available in the PC world crushes the amount in the mac world. I'm not antimac, in fact im typing this on a macbook pro right now, but from experience, gaming is far better on a pc platform.
