I apologise for the quality of these two recordings, the surface noise is simply due to much punishment by steel needles, on various acoustic gramophones in their early days -and before I rescued them.
Originally formed by Jean Goldkette as "The Orange Blossoms", they became the 'house' band at the Casa Loma hotel in 1927. Re-formed by Glen Gray in 1928, they took their new name from the hotel.
These two records show the interpretations of their arranger/guitarist (Gifford) of the Jazz sounds of the day.

@snorkelbda03 - "White Heat" was a monster hit in 1934 for the Jimmie Lunceford Orchestra, an African-American Band, with Sy Oliver as one of it's arrangers. "White Heat", though I think was a Will Hudson chart and it was also covered on Decca by of all bands the Ted Lewis Band, which, did a slower, yet surprisingly swinging version of it, given Lewis's propensity to record a lot of cornball stuff.
