degradation? on an HDMI cable? these guys clearly don't know anything about the difference between analog and digital information. in the old days of the analog cables it made sense to have gold plated expensive cables because the signal had `quality`. but now it's all about ones and zeros, so you don't need to worry about signal quality. there will be information or no information so if anything goes wrong you wont get any `degradation` you will simply not get any picture.
