I've put up this popular folk song before, sung by Pete and Iris Benzie at The Canny Man. It's such a lovely tune, I thought I'd try it myself.

The song probably originated in the nineteenth century. The tunes mentioned are generally thought to refer to dance tunes rather than songs, including "The Foggy Dew," though of course there is a well-known song by this name.

Another popular song "The Old Triangle", usually credited to Brendan Behan, uses the same tune or a close adaptation of it..
